Cake! - South East Wedding Cake
With over twenty years experience of designing and making Wedding Cakes, and now Partnership Cakes, Stephanie Francis is able to create the perfect cake for your special day. Offering quality, personal service from the first meeting to the day itself you are guaranteed to have a cake that will be the centerpiece of your reception that tastes as wonderful as it looks. From Classic and Traditional to Contemporary and Cutting Edge designs, in Rich Fruit Cake, Madeira, or Belgian Chocolate, together with the more unusual such as a Moist Carrot Cake, all cakes can be tailored to your colour scheme and fit the whole theme of your day. Whatever look you want to achieve, Stephanie will work with you to design a cake that is anything from understated and elegant, to something that is bold and statement-making. Stephanie's cakes are made using the finest ingredients available with no compromise on quality. Fruit Cakes are made three months in advance and allowed to mature naturally, Madeira and Belgian Chocolate Cakes are made just two or three days before the Wedding to ensure they are as fresh as possible.
Stephanie offers a variety of different styles of Wedding Cake design, all of which can be tailored to you and your day, and can even be made to look much larger than they really are by using ‘Dummy Cakes’ as additional tiers, giving a real ‘wow’ factor. Classic and Contemporary Cakes – An elegant style that works well from two tiers or more. They can be set on pillars for a classical look, or stacked in a more contemporary style. Feather Cakes – For a simply stunning cake, look no further! Marzipanned and iced in the usual way, the sides of these cakes are then covered in hundreds of individual edible rice paper feathers that give the cake life and movement all of its own. Wonderland Cakes – If the Mad Hatter was getting married this would surely be the type of cake he would choose! Each tier is cut to give a sloping surface and stacked to give a wacky look, which is completed with a different but contrasting decoration on each tier. Belgian Chocolate Cakes – The richest dark chocolate cake, layered with even richer chocolate ganache, and covered with dark, milk or white chocolate curls or sheets, or just some more ganache. Don’t ask about the calories – you just need to know the chocolate is the best you can buy and it tastes fantastic! Cup Cakes – A fun alternative to the formal cake, Cup Cakes give you the chance to have lots of differently decorated or themed cakes within one – the choices are endless… Miniature Individual Cakes – Allowing you to combine the more classical look of a formal cake with the individuality of Cup Cakes, these miniatures always look smart and distinctive.
